Lisa West specializes in fine art animal photography & is based in the Pittsburgh, Pa area. Lisa combines her love of animals & fine art photography and creates expressive & artistic photographs of animals. She is a passionate animal advocate & a firm supporter of the local animal shelters.
While growing up, Lisa's always had a great love for animals and had many special pets throughout the years. Always taking pictures of her 'special friends,' Lisa believes pets are part of the family too. For her, pets give her so much joy that she couldn't image not having one in her life.
Lisa has always had a passion for taking photographs of her pets & other animals. She decided to take her photography to the next level and started to attend photography classes at Pittsburgh Filmmakers where she fell in love with fine art photography. She soon realized her true calling in life was to be a professional animal/pet photographer.
Lisa demonstrates an amazing connection with animals & they are very comfortable around her. She really understands them & speaks their 'language.' Preferring to photograph animals in an environment where they're most comfortable, Lisa creates beautiful and sometimes amusing images of pets in a relaxed & playful atmosphere.
She made her animal photography business official in the year of 2006. She has a wonderful talent of capturing each animal's unique personality in such a creative & artist manner. Capturing beautiful images of pets and other wildlife is what she enjoys the most.
Lisa West lives in Pittsburgh, Pa with her husband, Wayne and their two cats, Chloe and Bella. She is very grateful for all the gifts God has given her and says she couldn't be happier doing anything else.
